Years Ago - the Man

Once, years ago,
when the seas were young,
and the soft winds blew.

There lived a man
on the shore of the sea,
unlike me, unlike you.

He lived the life,
live in peace and in harmony,
years ago, on that placid sea.

Aged by the wind and sun,
he never did know how to rush,
he never learned how to run.

He had a knowledge,
few men understand,
what it means to be more than a man.

As quiet as summer rain,
as content as the wind on which it came,
he lived totally free,
unlike you, so unlike me.

Over the ages,
what he knew was lost to the sea,
look at you, and then look at me.

Be it did happen once.
Years ago.
Whe the seas were young,
and soft did blow.
