The Tragic American Hero Syndrome

This is the deathbed of the tragic American Hero,
my this poem be read to all those who'll bow,
like the man who lost it all in the fight for one,
the man who took the big fall, and turned to the run.

There are many pitfalls in the road to perfection,
you meet many dolls who can bring an erection,
you meet many babe's that'll make you feel fulfilled,
but there's always the love that can have you killed.

When the pain of destruction finally tears out your heart,
and the end of the production breaks your mind apart,
and your deathwish becomes much too strong,
because some bitch really did you wrong.

and each time you become strong enough to stand on your feet,
you try to be tough, and you try to speak,
and she's making a fool of you for her own amusement,
you wonder about everything you do... is your time well spent?

You try to kill yourself and fucked-up suicide,
lose you mental health and all night you've cried,
and you feel the pain in pain-filled chest,
you're sure you'll never be sane until your final rest.
